As lacrosse season is fast approaching SLA's Team Saskatchewan teams will be looking for volunteers to fill numerous positions.


Sask Lacrosse is looking for the following positions to be filled:

- Provincial Team Coordinator

- Managers for Individual Minor Box Provincial Teams (Peewee, Bantam &  
  
Midget)


- Coaching Staff for Individual Minor Box Provincial Teams (Peewee, Bantam & 
  Midget)

- Coaching Staff for Junior and Intermediate Men's Field Provincial Teams

Note: SLA requires that the Head coach of SLA Provincial Teams is CPI Certified that attend National events. Asst coaches will follow the CLA coach requirement. This is above the CLA min standards for Head coaches 1st & 2nd at National events.

The Stinger program is designed to bring out the best in a lacrosse player; on and off the field.  It puts emphasis on skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship. This program includes winter training usually beginning in late January to April, spring training (May/June) and Summer Training (July/August). Stinger Lacrosse consists of two age groups, U14 & U16 (Born 1996-2000) with varying commitment between the age groups.

The first try-out for the U16 and U14 Stingers are Feb 5, 2012 at the Sasktel Soccer Centre in Saskatoon.

U14: 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm
U16: 7:45 pm to 9:00 pm

Tryout fee is $25.00. Players may be asked to join the Stingers winter training for further evaluation and development. For players asked to join winter training an additional $50.00 will be added.
